PROJECT ARCHIVE

Hardy Associates was originally formed in 1980 on Hayling Island, Hampshire as an Architectural Practice specialising in domestic projects.

Since its formation the practice has developed with a national client base that includes corporate and private companies, statutory bodies and international and private clients. The practice moved its Head Office to Bristol in 1984 and introduced an interior design and surveying service.

The principle, John Hardy, is a full member of the professional bodies of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, The Chartered Institute of Building, The Architecture and Surveying Institute and The Institute of Directors. Other memberships include The Georgian Society, The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, The Ecological Design Association, Kings Weston Preservation Society and The Historic Houses Association.

The estate managers in the practice are retained for clients with portfolios of grade I, grade II* and grade II listed properties. This includes Kings Weston House, Bristol, a beautiful early Georgian grade I property designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, the Architect of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard. Following
an extensive but ongoing refurbishment, Kings Weston House has been featured
in Country Life Magazine.

Our Aim is to offer an economical and professional service in design, project management and surveying of property. We endeavour to ensure that the end product is the most cost-effective result for the budget and resources available, whilst taking the strain out of the bureaucratic procedures and the complexities of design. This enables our clients to enjoy their property and husbandry of it.
